Mumsy, Nanny, Sonny & Girly (1970) follows an isolated quartet who have invented an elaborate fantasy life in which they assume the roles of a mother, nanny, son, and daughter and compel outsiders to join their “family” under strict, surreal rules. As Sonny and Girly bring back strangers from outside and the group’s twisted rituals and power plays intensify, resistance leads to ritualistic murders and psychological breakdowns within the household. This off-kilter horror-comedy blends dark satire and macabre role-play in a cult-era exploration of obsession, control, and twisted domesticity.
