Hunchback of the Morgue (1973) follows a deformed morgue attendant in Feldkirch haunted by the death of the only woman who ever showed him kindness, driving him into a macabre quest to restore her to life through any means necessary. As his grief fuels murder and collaboration with a fringe scientist whose grotesque experiments draw him deeper into violence and creation of the unnatural, horror and obsession entwine with fatal consequence. This Spanish horror blends gothic tragedy and grotesque menace in a cult classic of obsession and forbidden science.
