Synopsis
A Dragonfly for Each Corpse (1975) follows a Milan police inspector assigned to stop a killer targeting individuals associated with prostitution, drugs, and other criminal activity. As the murderer continues leaving a dragonfly calling card beside each corpse, the inspector and his wife pursue clues that lead into elite social circles and extremist groups. This Spanish giallo-style crime thriller blends procedural investigation, urban corruption, and psychological obsession.
Criticism
-
A Dragonfly for Each Corpse is the third and final Spanish giallo written by Paul Naschy; it is in some respects the one which best evokes the Italian school and it stands out as one of his most purely enjoyable offerings. … The film moves at a very good pace and compares very well indeed to the “home grown” Italian giallo of the period.
