Film Synopsis
Hell Drivers (1957) places an ex-convict behind the wheel for a British haulage company where drivers compete to complete the most ballast runs at dangerous speeds. His attempt to challenge the ruthless road foreman exposes him to intimidation, sabotaged vehicles, and signs of corruption within the operation. This British action thriller uses stark black-and-white VistaVision photography to turn narrow country roads and heavy lorries into an arena for working-class rivalry.
