Film Synopsis
Forbidden Planet (1956) centers on a starship commander and his crew who travel to the distant planet Altair IV to investigate the fate of an expedition that vanished decades earlier. Finding only a scientist and his daughter alive, they discover the remnants of an advanced civilization while a mysterious force begins threatening the new arrivals. This science fiction film combines space exploration, technological wonder, and psychological suspense, using its imaginative alien world to probe the dangers that can accompany seemingly limitless knowledge and power.
