Faces (1978) follows a famous sculptor who, in the midst of a creative and personal crisis, finds himself unable to distinguish faces and feels disconnected from everyone around him. On a flight back to Tenerife he notices one woman’s face standing out, becomes obsessed with the idea of making her his model, and is drawn into a bizarre odyssey involving a mysterious woman dressed in white. This psychological horror film blends surreal atmosphere and aesthetic unease in a haunting exploration of identity, obsession and the power of perception.
