Film Synopsis

Doomwatch (1972) follows a marine biologist sent to a Cornish island after reports surface of environmental contamination linked to toxic waste disposal. As he encounters hostility from insular residents and uncovers evidence of genetic damage among wildlife and villagers, official denials intensify the crisis. This British science fiction thriller blends ecological alarm and conspiracy tension in a study of environmental recklessness and communal denial.
