Synopsis
Vertigo (1958) follows a retired San Francisco detective whose struggle with acrophobia deepens when he is hired to observe a mysterious woman drawn toward death. As his fascination turns into an all-consuming obsession, he becomes trapped in a spiral of illusion, desire, and psychological unraveling. This psychological-thriller noir blends haunting atmosphere and emotional disorientation in a mesmerizing study of identity, fixation, and the power of memory.
