Synopsis
The Mark of Zorro (1940) follows a Spanish aristocrat who returns to early California and finds his community under the control of a corrupt governor. As he adopts the guise of a frivolous nobleman to conceal his actions, he secretly operates as a masked swordsman who disrupts authority and protects the population. This swashbuckling adventure develops mounting pressure and shifting loyalties, with justice, deception, and resistance shaping events.
