The love story of the white missionary and the Eurasian soldier… under the China sky!
Film Synopsis
The Inn of the Sixth Happiness (1958) centers on a British missionary who overcomes repeated obstacles to fulfill her calling in rural China, where she establishes an inn while serving the local community. As the Japanese invasion forces thousands of civilians into danger, she undertakes an arduous journey to lead a large group of orphaned children across mountainous terrain to safety. This British-American historical drama explores courage, compassion, and perseverance as faith, selflessness, and humanitarian commitment shape an inspiring story based on real events.
