Nothing can prepare you for what happens when she fights back.

As far as early eighties slashers go, this one’s pretty good, and obviously an influence on revenge films like I Know What You Did Last Summer. … Despite the now hackneyed plot, The House on Sorority Row does manage to throw a few nice ideas into the mix, like keeping the killer’s face hidden for as long as possible, and a psychedelic tinged finale. Sadly, the film loses much of its pace during the last quarter, and the ending isn’t quite as spectacular as it could be. … If you’re not into slasher movies, then this one isn’t likely to change your mind, but for the fan it’s an enjoyable hour and a half.
