An American writer in Rome witnesses an attempted murder in an art gallery but becomes entangled in the investigation when the police suspect him of withholding information. As he conducts his own search for the truth, he uncovers a string of brutal attacks linked to a mysterious figure. The deeper he digs, the more he finds himself targeted by the elusive killer.
