Synopsis

The 10th Victim (1965) centers on a futuristic society where governments channel violent impulses into “The Big Hunt,” a globally televised competition in which contestants alternate roles as hunter and victim. As an experienced American huntress travels to Rome to eliminate her tenth target for a corporate-sponsored kill and unexpected attraction complicates the assignment, manipulation, surveillance, and staged violence begin blurring the line between spectacle and genuine human connection. This Italian-French science fiction satire examines media-driven violence and commodified identity within a hyper-stylized future society, as rival motivations begin to collide, with televised death games, consumer culture, and romantic deception.
