Synopsis
Strange Voyage (1964) centers on two submissive siblings living under the domineering authority of their older sister in a small rural community. As hidden desires, romantic frustrations, and growing tensions within the household intensify while a local dance musician becomes increasingly entangled in the family’s affairs, an unexpected death transforms their sheltered lives into a web of deception and concealment. This Spanish black comedy thriller examines repression and social conformity within a tightly controlled provincial environment, as personal boundaries erode, with family dysfunction, buried desires, and criminal secrecy.
