A wealthy Parisian man becomes infatuated with his mysterious new neighbor, rescuing her from an abusive relationship—only to find himself caught in a deadly web of lies and betrayal. As secrets unfold, he realizes he may be the target of a cold-blooded scheme. This sleek Italian giallo blends eroticism, suspense, and psychological manipulation in a chilling tale of seduction and revenge.
-
Like so many gialli of the period, it seems to revel in the generally bad behavior of its wealthy protagonists. Unlike Damiano Damiani’s A Rather Complicated Girl (1969), however, there is little in the way of social commentary here. Instead, Lenzi and Gastaldi seem to be having a good time establishing the milieu in which these people thrive and continuously screw each other over.
