Synopsis

Shadow of Illusion (1970) centers on a successful model invited to Cairo by an enigmatic cosmetics company that appears to have selected her for reasons extending far beyond a promotional campaign. As strange encounters, recurring visions, and increasingly threatening behavior intensify around her while a secretive cult linked to ancient Egyptian beliefs begins revealing an unsettling interest in her presence, she becomes trapped within a web of occult intrigue and supernatural menace. This Italian gothic horror film examines obsession and spiritual manipulation within an exotic and dreamlike setting, as fear begins to overtake reason, with cult activity, ritual sacrifice, and ancient mysteries.
