Synopsis
Razzia sur la chnouf (1955) centers on an aging criminal who reenters the Paris underworld under orders from former associates seeking to uncover the structure of a major heroin distribution network. As rival gangsters, police surveillance, and internal betrayals intensify around the operation while addiction and violence spread through nightclubs, cafés, and hidden narcotics dens, the fragile balance between loyalty and self-preservation steadily collapses. This French crime thriller examines criminal hierarchy and urban moral decay within a shadowy postwar underworld, as suspicion spreads, with organized crime, drug trafficking, and fatalistic betrayal.
