Synopsis
Flesh for Frankenstein (1973) centers on Baron Frankenstein’s obsessive efforts to construct ideal male and female specimens from harvested body parts in order to breed a new race of superior beings. As grave robbing, murder, and increasingly disturbing surgical procedures intensify around his laboratory while his family and servants become entangled in his experiments, his pursuit of biological perfection descends into chaos and violence. This French-Italian horror film examines scientific obsession and aristocratic decadence within a grotesque gothic world, as self-control deteriorates, with unnatural creation, sexual transgression, and bodily corruption.
