Fangs of the Living Dead (1969) follows a woman who travels to a rural castle after inheriting it from a relative and is warned by locals to stay away. As she settles into the estate and meets her uncle, she learns of a family curse and begins experiencing disturbing events suggesting she may be destined to become a vampire. This Spanish-Italian horror film blends gothic atmosphere, psychological manipulation, and vampire mythology while examining inheritance, identity, and supernatural fate.
-
One of the first vampire movies to originate in Spain, Fangs of the Living Dead is pretty much a knock-off of the British Hammer films with a bit of Italian Gothic thrown in. … Silly, harmless fun from de Ossorio, who would have later success with his thrilling Blind Dead films.
