Film Synopsis
Crime Wave (1953) centers on a reformed former convict whose quiet life with his wife is disrupted when three escaped prisoners arrive at his apartment following a deadly armored-car robbery. As the fugitives pressure him to assist in planning another crime while a determined police detective recognizes his desire to remain on the right side of the law, he finds himself caught between criminal loyalty and the chance for a legitimate future. This film noir crime drama examines redemption and personal responsibility within a world where the past is difficult to escape, as mounting pressure from both criminals and police forces increasingly difficult choices, with robbery, manhunts, and moral conflict.
