Film Synopsis
Blood & Flesh: The Reel Life & Ghastly Death of Al Adamson (2019) explores the life and career of exploitation filmmaker Al Adamson, whose low-budget productions ranged across horror, biker films, westerns, and other genre cinema. Interviews with family, friends, and collaborators combine with archival footage and film clips to trace his unconventional filmmaking career and the circumstances surrounding his murder. This documentary combines an affectionate portrait of independent filmmaking with a disturbing true-crime account of Adamson’s final years.
