Film Synopsis
Barbed Wire Dolls (1976) portrays a young woman sentenced to an isolated women’s prison after being convicted of killing her father while resisting his sexual assault. There she confronts a sadistic wardress and corrupt officials who subject the inmates to sexual coercion, torture, and humiliation as the prisoners search for ways to endure or escape. This Swiss-West German exploitation drama uses women-in-prison conventions to examine institutional power, degradation, and survival.
