Werewolf Shadow (1971) follows the cursed werewolf Waldemar Daninsky after he is resurrected when surgeons remove silver bullets from his corpse, and soon two university students seeking the tomb of a legendary vampire take refuge at his castle. When the ancient vampire Countess Wandesa is accidentally revived and begins terrorizing the countryside, Daninsky must confront both the undead menace and his own lycanthropic fate. This Spanish-German horror blends gothic horror and creature spectacle in a cult classic werewolf-versus-vampire confrontation that helped spark a 1970s boom in Spanish horror.
