Undertow (1949) follows an ex-con returning to Chicago to marry his sweetheart, only to find himself framed for the murder of her uncle. Forced to flee through the city’s underworld, he races to clear his name while uncovering a web of betrayal and corruption. This film noir blends tension and fatalism in a sharp, fast-paced tale of love, deceit, and redemption.
