Toys Are Not for Children (1972) follows a naive young woman raised by a resentful mother after her father abandons the family but continues sending her gifts. As she grows older, her emotional dependence on childhood objects and unresolved longing for her father disrupt her relationships and leads her toward increasingly dangerous influences. This drama blends psychological trauma, sexual exploitation, and character study while examining arrested development, abandonment, and emotional vulnerability.
