Film Synopsis
The Warrior and the Blind Swordsman (1983) follows the blind swordsman Soca Indrasukma who enters a Dutch-sponsored martial arts tournament to kill Jaka Sembung — but secretly sympathizes with his fight for freedom. As dark magic and political intrigue swirl, the seductive sorceress Dewi Magi intervenes, pitting mysticism and loyalty against colonial ambition. This Indonesian fantasy‑martial‑arts epic blends patriotic resistance, sorcery, and brutal combat in a dramatic tale of honor and betrayal.

- Mondo Macabro’s “Limited Edition” Blu-ray is included in “The Warrior Collection” box set with The Warrior (1981) and The Warrior and the Ninja (1985). It contains a 16-page booklet with writing by Hikmat Darmawan. Reissued separately as a standard edition without booklet with The Warrior and the Ninja (1985) (2024/11/12).
