Film Synopsis
The Pick-Up (1968) centers on two mob couriers transporting one million dollars from Las Vegas to Los Angeles who are robbed by a pair of con women they encounter along the way. Facing deadly consequences if they fail to recover the syndicate’s money, the men pursue the thieves as the search descends into violence and vengeance. This crime thriller combines hard-boiled noir conventions with the sexual provocation and brutality of the roughie, creating a particularly grim example of late-1960s exploitation cinema.
