Synopsis
The Lion in Winter (1968) follows King Henry II as he convenes a Christmas court with his imprisoned wife, their three sons, and rival claimants to determine his successor. As political maneuvering and personal rivalries intensify, shifting alliances and betrayals complicate the struggle for power within the royal family. This drama blends sharp dialogue, psychological conflict, and themes of power, loyalty, and familial rivalry.
