It’s a 10-hour manhunt through the jazz-joints and sin-spots of New York!
The Glass Wall (1953) follows a World War II refugee who stows away to New York in hopes of proving he deserves entry into the United States by locating the American soldier whose life he once saved. As he evades authorities, befriends strangers in the city’s margins, and races against a strict deadline that could condemn him to deportation, his quest becomes a tense odyssey through postwar urban life. This film-noir drama blends relentless pursuit and humane urgency in a poignant exploration of displacement, hope, and belonging.
