Now you can see it… A bold look at the bizarre world of abnormal sexual behavior!
A woman inherits a secluded country mansion, only to be plagued by eerie occurrences and disturbing visions tied to the estate’s dark past. As she uncovers long-buried family secrets, she begins to question her sanity and the intentions of those around her. This atmospheric giallo blends gothic horror, psychological tension, and mystery in a chilling descent into fear and madness.

Rose’s stilted script is typical of low budget American exploitation with awkward dialogue pauses and characters who are at pains to identify each other again and again. However, these stumbling points are largely confined to the film’s first half-hour; once the plot gets in motion this throwaway treatise on the morals of crime and punishment races from one incredulous scene to another, while the locations radiate under the glare of Mario Mancini’s crisp cinematography.
Adrian Luther-Smith, Blood and Black Lace: The Definitive Guide to Italian Sex and Horror Movies (Stray Cat Publishing, 1999) -
The Girl in Room 2A is arguably more a horror film than a giallo, but it contains enough “mystery” elements to warrant inclusion in this context. … This is one of those films where the villains are so transparently villainous that one cannot help but become exasperated with the heroine for failing to realize that she is in danger. … The assorted villains and red-herrings are also sketchy in the extreme and the supernatural elements are far from convincing.
