H.G. Wells, the master of science fiction, tells his most frightening story…
Film Synopsis
The Food of the Gods (1976) follows a group of people stranded on a remote island where animals have grown to monstrous size after consuming a mysterious, milky substance seeping from the earth. As rats, wasps, and other oversized creatures close in, the survivors battle nature’s fury in a fight for survival. This eco-horror adaptation blends pulp spectacle and apocalyptic tension in a grim allegory of greed, mutation, and mankind’s reckless hunger for control.
