Synopsis
The Deadly Affair (1967) follows a seasoned intelligence officer who suspects foul play when a Foreign Office official’s apparent suicide reveals inconsistencies during a routine inquiry. As he continues investigating against orders, uncovering connections to a covert espionage network, institutional resistance and personal entanglements intensify the situation. This British espionage thriller blends procedural inquiry, subdued tension, and moral ambiguity in an examination of loyalty, deception, and the quiet erosion of trust.
