Synopsis
The Beast Within (1982) follows a couple whose honeymoon travel in Mississippi turns horrific after a creature attacks the wife, and years later their son begins to manifest violent behavior and bizarre physical changes. When the family returns to the town of the original attack to uncover the root of his illness, they unearth a secret involving a murdered man, a town conspiracy, and the possibility that the creature’s legacy lives on through their son. This horror film blends psychological terror and grotesque transformation in a tense study of inherited horror and small town dread.
