Film Synopsis
The Astro-Zombies (1968) depicts a former space laboratory scientist conducting secret experiments on human bodies in an attempt to create powerful artificial beings. When one of his creations becomes responsible for a series of brutal attacks, government agents investigate while foreign spies seek to obtain his research. This science fiction horror film brings mad-scientist experimentation into a world of Cold War espionage, with John Carradine’s committed performance and Ted V. Mikels’ resourceful low-budget filmmaking giving the unlikely mixture its cult appeal.
