Return of the Killer Tomatoes! (1988) follows a pizza delivery worker living in a society where tomatoes are banned after a previous uprising. As a scientist secretly develops tomatoes that can disguise themselves as humans and prepares a second invasion, the delivery worker becomes drawn into efforts to stop the plan. This comedy science fiction film blends parody and absurd humor while satirizing consumer culture, mad science tropes, and monster film conventions.
