Synopsis
Portrait of Jennie (1948) follows an impoverished New York artist whose chance encounter with an enigmatic girl in Central Park renews his creative ambition. As he continues meeting her across different moments and discovers that she inexplicably ages between encounters, his growing attachment deepens into an obsession tied to her elusive past. This supernatural romantic fantasy centers on love shaped by time and memory, as reality begins to blur, with artistic inspiration, longing, and temporal mystery.
