Film Synopsis
Mondo balordo (1964) follows an offbeat collection of filmed scenes from around the world that purport to show strange rituals, unconventional behaviors, and sensational cultural oddities presented to provoke and shock. As narration guides viewers through depictions of exotic spectacles, bizarre customs, and eccentric human activities, tension arises from the film’s collision of curiosity and exploitation. This Italian documentary embraces the mondo shockumentary style with lurid visuals and unusual juxtapositions in a provocative survey of global weirdness.
