Film Synopsis
A Canadian nurse travels to a Caribbean island to care for the wife of a plantation owner, only to discover the woman is in a trance-like state. As the nurse delves deeper into local beliefs and customs, she becomes entangled in a world of voodoo and colonial tension. The line between science and superstition blurs as haunting secrets of the island and its inhabitants are slowly revealed.
