Film Synopsis
Frankenstein 1970 (1958) centers on a descendant of the Frankenstein family who rents his ancestral castle to an American television crew making a film about his infamous ancestor. Using the money to acquire an atomic reactor, he secretly resumes the family experiments and brings a creature to life within the castle. This science fiction horror film combines Gothic traditions, atomic-age science, and a self-referential filmmaking premise in an unusual 1950s reworking of the Frankenstein legend.
