Film Synopsis
Even the Wind Is Afraid (1968) portrays a student at a girls’ boarding school troubled by recurring nightmares of a hanged woman in a forbidden tower. After she and her friends investigate, the headmistress forces them to remain at the school during the holiday, where unexplained incidents point to a concealed tragedy from its past. This Mexican Gothic horror uses an isolated setting, spectral imagery, and rigid authority to create an atmosphere of mounting supernatural dread.
