Film Synopsis
Employees’ Entrance (1933) presents the ruthless manager of a Depression-era department store who hires a jobless young woman as a model after spending the night with her. When she secretly marries a salesman the manager has promoted, his demand for total devotion to the business places their careers and marriage under mounting pressure. This pre-Code workplace drama presents the store as a competitive hierarchy in which economic leverage becomes personal coercion.
