Synopsis
Deadly Inheritance (1968) follows the relatives of an elderly railway worker who unexpectedly leaves behind a large fortune after his death. As disputes arise over the inheritance and the designated heir becomes the target of legal challenges, members of the family begin to die under suspicious circumstances. This Italian mystery thriller blends inheritance intrigue, family rivalry, and early giallo-style murder investigation.
Criticism
-
Deadly Inheritance is mostly of interest for being one of the first gialli to embrace a rural setting. … The filmmakers do not really explore the potential in any kind of meaningful way here, but the countryside locales add some interest to what is otherwise a very routine effort.
