Synopsis
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) follows a former athlete turned alcoholic who returns to his family’s Mississippi estate as his domineering father faces a grave illness. As suppressed truths, marital strain, and sibling rivalry surface during a tense birthday gathering, long-buried resentments threaten to shatter the fragile façade of Southern prosperity. This Southern gothic drama blends domestic confrontation and sexual repression in a heated study of mendacity and emotional survival.
