Film Synopsis
A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) follows a fading Southern belle who arrives at a cramped French Quarter apartment seeking refuge after personal and financial collapse. As tensions rise between her illusions of gentility and the raw, confrontational masculinity of her sister’s husband, desire, resentment, and psychological strain erode the household’s fragile balance.
