Film Synopsis

Black Magic (1975) centers on a wealthy widow who turns to a black magician after becoming obsessed with an engaged man. A supernatural love spell draws him away from his fiancée, but further curses and counter-spells escalate the struggle between those caught in the magician’s schemes. This Hong Kong supernatural horror film combines obsessive desire, grotesque rituals, and macabre imagery with increasingly elaborate displays of sorcery, delivering a lurid and influential example of Shaw Brothers horror.
