Synopsis
Against the Law (1950) follows Marcello Curti, a middle-class young man secretly working as an intermediary in black market currency exchanges tied to criminal organizations. As a violent dispute during a transaction leaves a buyer dead and the real killer escapes, Marcello is arrested and placed under police surveillance while conducting his own investigation to clear his name. This Italian crime thriller centers on a murder investigation shaped by criminal corruption, as suspicion closes in, with black market activity, police scrutiny, and personal desperation.
