Film Synopsis

A.A.A. Masseuse, Good-Looking, Offers Her Services (1972) follows a young woman who leaves her restrictive home to make her own way and advertises herself as a masseuse, only to find her clients becoming targets of a brutal killer. As police begin to probe the string of murders and suspicion falls around her life and associates, tension mounts between her desire for autonomy and the growing threat closing in. This giallo thriller blends lurid escort intrigue and grisly mystery in a tense study of exploitation and peril.

Critical Perspective

  • Photo of Troy Howarth

This sexy giallo mixes in mild soft-core with equally mild gore but emerges as surprisingly enjoyable on the whole. … The thriller angle is less than thrilling, however. The various kill scenes are indifferently staged and do not have the benefit of convincing make-up effects. The murderer’s identity is also fairly easy to guess early on in the film. That is not to say that the film is a complete failure. It is entertaining enough on its own modest level, but a little more inspiration in the plotting and execution of the murder scenes would have elevated it considerably.
