Synopsis
A Bullet for Joey (1955) follows a Canadian police inspector tracking a gangster who has been hired by communist agents to kidnap a nuclear physicist. As the plot unfolds, double-crosses and political intrigue entangle the gangland scheme with Cold War espionage, tightening the noose around everyone involved. This noir-tinged thriller blends crime, paranoia, and international tension in a lean tale of coercion and covert pursuit.
