Film Synopsis
The Wild Eye (1967) follows a documentary director travelling through Africa and Asia with his lover and a small crew to gather sensational material. He increasingly stages what he claims to document, sacrificing the welfare of those around him to obtain more dramatic footage. This satirical drama uses an episodic journey to scrutinize the methods of mondo cinema, with its appetite for images of violence and suffering.
