Almost a love story.

A lonely, disturbed man kidnaps a young art student and imprisons her in his secluded cellar, hoping she will eventually grow to love him. At first, he tries to win her affection with gifts and conversation, but his obsession soon reveals his inability to understand real human connection. As her attempts to escape grow more desperate, the twisted relationship hurtles toward a tragic and inevitable end.
